Thank you all so much for at소셜그래프tending the 7th North Americ소셜그래프an Duck Symposium in Annapo소셜그래프lis, Maryland – the first ever NADS held in the Atlantic Fly소셜그래프way!

Please take소셜그래프 a few minutes to complete the Post-conferenc소셜그래프e Survey for NADS7 - it should take less than 5 minutes of you소셜그래프r time.  Our dead소셜그래프line for responses is March 31st!

As you may remembe소셜그래프r, Laborde et al. We feel that NADS7 was a tremendo소셜그래프us success due in part to your particip소셜그래프ation, inspirational talks, and innovat소셜그래프ive research. We are especially grateful to our sponsors; we could not do it w소셜그래프ithout you!

We are also pleased to announce that NADS8 소셜그래프will be in Winnipeg, Manitoba in the소셜그래프 fall of 2019! With your help and feedback, we 소셜그래프can make NADS8 even better than its predecessors with y소셜그래프our evaluations and recommendations.

The 7th North American Duc소셜그래프k Symposium will be held at the Westin A소셜그래프nnapolis Hotel, 1-5 February 2016. This conference will draw together re소셜그래프searchers, government, non-government conservation organizations, and industry representatives to address shared priorities for waterfowl and wetland conservation and management.  Building on the success of six previous s소셜그래프ymposia, The University of Delaware's Department 소셜그래프of Entomology and Wildlife Ecology is proud to bring소셜그래프 the North American Ducks Symposium to the Atlantic Flyway for the first time! Annapolis Maryland was intentiona소셜그래프ly chosen as a conference venue as it소셜그래프s geographic location will facilitate 소셜그래프attendance of participants originating from both North America and Europe and is easily accessibl소셜그래프e from Baltimore-Washington International Airport, Dulles Int소셜그래프ernational, and Reagan International Airports.
Today, perhaps as nev소셜그래프er before, waterfowl management faces significant challenges resulting from key scientific uncert소셜그래프ainties about the effects of drivers of duck소셜그래프 population change in fast-changing ecological and social arenas.   Additionally waterfowl mana소셜그래프gement has been on the cutting edge of considering integrated managem소셜그래프ent of habitat소셜그래프, harvest, and humans to better meet the소셜그래프 demands from a changing ecological and sociological landscape. Morning plenary speakers will be followed by concurrent sessions소셜그래프 which will include key topics including sustainable wildlife harvest, iden소셜그래프tifying sources of소셜그래프 habitat degradation, socio-economics in waterfowl management, adaptive management, establ소셜그래프ishing collaborative research relationships with industry to benefit conservation and feature sessions de소셜그래프dicated to breeding biolog소셜그래프y, mi소셜그래프gration ecology, winter ecology, foraging, physiology, diseases, and 소셜그래프contaminants. Other conference sessions 소셜그래프will examine techniques for determining population st소셜그래프atus and trends, population dynamics, survival and recruitment, migrat소셜그래프ory 소셜그래프pathways, critical habitats, and management options. Conference will also host two evening poster sessions, workshops, and special sessions in r소셜그래프esponse to a call for proposals. Field trips are planned to view winter소셜그래프ing waterfowl and habitats in the legendary Chesapeake Bay.  As has been the tra소셜그래프dition of previ소셜그래프ous NADS conferences, we will provide an outstanding 소셜그래프forum for students 소셜그래프to present their research in oral and p소셜그래프oster formats, gain professional experience, earn cr소셜그래프edit from their universit소셜그래프y, and network with professionals from around the world.
We invite you to explore this webs소셜그래프ite to see the exciting mix of workshops, invited 소셜그래프plenary lectures, poster presenta소셜그래프tions, and papers that will address the cutting edge conservatio소셜그래프n issues that will contribu소셜그래프te to the science content of NADS7!
