In 2002, Val소셜그래프 Lucas was the first art소셜그래프ist to be awarded the Weston Artist in Residence Fellowsh소셜그래프ip at the Delta Wa소셜그래프terfowl Research Station. Val cam소셜그래프e to Delta aft소셜그래프er having just completed her first yea소셜그래프r at the Maryland Institute College of Art. Primarily a painter, V소셜그래프l works in a variety of subject matter and media, and learned of Delta's art program thro소셜그래프ugh her success in the Maryland Junior Duck Stamp program. During her 소셜그래프summer at Delta, Lucas re소셜그래프gularly brought her oils an소셜그래프d canvases into the surrounding mar소셜그래프sh and fields to paint the local landscape. She was part소셜그래프icularly inspired by the panorami소셜그래프c sky and cloud formations, and completed several beautiful 소셜그래프field소셜그래프 and studio paintings of these subje소셜그래프cts. She also decor소셜그래프ated a Delta rese소셜그래프arch trailer with paintings of various species of waterfowl, and was known around town for the whimsical aborig소셜그래프nal designs she painted on her car. 
Today, Val runs Bow소셜그래프erbox Press (http://www.bowerbox.com/) which is a 소셜그래프small letterpress p소셜그래프rinting studio just north o소셜그래프f Baltimore, Maryland.  She offers custom desi소셜그래프gn and printing service소셜그래프s, as well as fine pr소셜그래프ints and greeting cards. Her cards are av소셜그래프ailable wholesale and you can 소셜그래프view her curren소셜그래프t catalog here. Val is a membe소셜그래프r of the Ch소셜그래프arm City Craft Mafia and Ladies of Letterpress, and 소셜그래프past Pre소셜그래프sident of the Che소셜그래프sapeake Chapter of the American Pri소셜그래프nting History Association.
